Roswell began around a mill on Vickery Creek in 1839, which makes it one of the oldest cities in North Fulton. The historic district still sets the tone. Canton Street has become a favorite evening out across metro Atlanta, a walkable run of chef-led restaurants and galleries with Bulloch Hall and the mill ruins nearby. The river is the second half of the story. Roswell holds miles of Chattahoochee frontage, and the Riverwalk, the parks and the Chattahoochee Nature Center give residents an outdoor routine that few suburbs can offer.
The housing is mostly established. Swim-tennis neighborhoods sit under mature trees, and mid-century ranches near the historic district earn a premium once renovated. Townhome communities have gone up within walking distance of Canton Street. At the upper end, we look to riverfront and river-view homes and to country club living at Horseshoe Bend and Willow Springs. Roswell High and Centennial High are both well regarded. People tend to move here deliberately and stay a long time, which keeps listings scarce in the areas buyers want most.
Britney leads our Roswell work. Buyers here usually fall for the setting first, and her renovation background helps make sure the house itself deserves the same confidence, particularly with older homes near the historic core. Sellers benefit from the same eye when deciding what to improve before listing. Because we work the whole corridor as a team, a Roswell search can widen without changing agents, whether that means comparing Alpharetta and Milton next door or, with Karen, looking further north toward Lake Lanier and the mountains.
Where to look in Roswell.
The neighborhoods and pockets our clients ask about most.
Historic Roswell and Canton Street
Renovated bungalows, cottages and newer townhomes a short walk from the restaurant district, Bulloch Hall and the old mill ruins. Nothing in the city is more walkable, and nothing draws more competition.
The Riverfront and East Roswell
Settled family neighborhoods off Riverside Drive and river-view properties close to the Chattahoochee's parks, trails and launches. The setting is quiet enough to feel removed from the daily routine.
Horseshoe Bend
A golf community set where the river curves, with mature lots, club amenities and a long record of holding value at resale.
Martins Landing
Among the area's first master-planned communities, with lakes, trails, swim and tennis, and a spread of home styles that keeps families coming back to it.
Willow Springs
Roswell's other country club address, and one we point buyers toward when club living matters more than being near the river or the historic core.
Questions buyers and sellers ask.
What price range should I expect when buying in Roswell?
Condos and townhomes start in the $400s. Most established swim-tennis neighborhoods trade between the $500s and the $800s. Homes in the historic district, on the river, or inside the country clubs open in the high $800s and climb well past $1.5M.
Why do buyers choose Roswell over other North Fulton cities?
Roswell offers history and outdoor life in the same place, which is uncommon in the metro. Canton Street's restaurants, Bulloch Hall and the Roswell Mill sit a short distance from miles of Chattahoochee parks, trails and paddling water.
Which part of Roswell suits me best?
That turns on how you spend a weekend. If it revolves around Canton Street, we start in the historic district. If it revolves around water or golf, Horseshoe Bend and the East Roswell neighborhoods near the river parks come first, and Martins Landing is the answer for amenities at a more moderate price.
How competitive is the Roswell market?
The city is widely recognised as one of Georgia's best places to live, so the sought-after pockets stay contested. Supply in the walkable core is thin and homes there move quickly. Britney prepares buyers before the right house appears, not after.
What is daily life like for Roswell residents?
Residents have the Riverwalk, Azalea and Riverside parks, kayak launches and the Chattahoochee Nature Center close at hand. The calendar includes Alive in Roswell block parties, farmers markets and festivals, and GA-400 keeps the drive toward Atlanta short.
