- Who leads
- Karen and Britney together
Alpharetta was once a quiet Fulton County farm town. Today it holds one of the Southeast’s largest clusters of technology companies, hundreds of them along GA-400, which is how it came to be called the Technology City of the South. The growth did not cost the city its center. Main Street has been revived with restaurants, boutiques and events on the City Green, and Avalon, a few minutes east, combines luxury retail, dining, offices and residences in a single walkable district. The same highway runs south to Buckhead and north to Cumming and Lake Lanier.
Demand here is deep and largely professional, and the housing is more varied than first-time visitors expect. There are condos and modern townhomes within walking distance of downtown or Avalon, wooded swim-tennis neighborhoods, lake and golf living in Windward, and new luxury construction across the city. Along the northern edge, estate homes share Milton’s schools. Daily life includes the Big Creek Greenway trails, the recreation campus at Wills Park and summer concerts at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre. Alpharetta High and Cambridge High are among the schools that draw families.
We are based at Keller Williams North Atlanta on North Point Parkway, so this is where many client conversations begin. Britney handles most of our townhome, new-construction and family neighborhood work, including the walkable addresses around downtown and Avalon. Karen takes the lead on Windward, gated communities and the estates near the Milton line, and she brings luxury marketing and a buyer network that extends beyond the immediate area. Sometimes the right answer is in Alpharetta. Sometimes it is forty minutes up GA-400, and between us we can show both.
Where to look in Alpharetta.
The neighborhoods and pockets our clients ask about most.
Windward
A master-planned community of about 3,000 acres around private Lake Windward and the Golf Club of Georgia, with a marina, sailing, swim and tennis. Its executive homes lead the city's luxury resale market.
Downtown Alpharetta
Cottages, townhomes and new single-family homes a short walk from Main Street restaurants, the City Green and the farmers market. Walkability in North Fulton peaks here, and prices reflect that.
Avalon and the 400 Corridor
Luxury condos and brownstone-style townhomes at the region's leading live-work-play district. It suits owners who want to lock the door and leave, with shopping, dining and corridor employers close by.
Milton Border Luxury
Gated communities and estate homes on the city's north side. Buyers get larger lots and Milton's school cluster while keeping an Alpharetta address.
Established Swim-Tennis Alpharetta
Dozens of mature neighborhoods on wooded, tree-lined lots, zoned to highly rated Fulton County schools. This is the heart of the family market, balancing yard, schools and commute.
Gated Enclaves
Smaller gated communities within the city that trade at $1M and above, usually our first stop for buyers who put privacy ahead of amenities.
Questions buyers and sellers ask.
What do Alpharetta homes sell for?
Condos and townhomes around downtown and Avalon open in the $400s to $500s. Established single-family neighborhoods mostly sit between the $600s and roughly $1M. Windward, downtown luxury construction, gated enclaves and the Milton border start at $1M, with the border market reaching well into seven figures.
Where is the top of the Alpharetta luxury market?
Windward is the reference point, with its lake, golf club and marina. Newer luxury construction downtown and the estate communities on the Milton line complete the upper tier. Avalon belongs on the list for buyers who want a low-maintenance residence.
Which schools serve Alpharetta?
Fulton County's Alpharetta, Milton and Cambridge high school clusters are regularly rated among the best in Georgia. Assignment depends on the neighborhood, and we verify it for each home a client considers.
How quickly do homes sell in Alpharetta?
Sensibly priced homes attract attention fast. The city is regularly named among the best places to live in Georgia and nationally, and its job base keeps demand steady. We make sure a client is the best-prepared party before an offer goes in or a listing goes live.
Can I compare Alpharetta with the lake or mountains using one team?
Yes, and many of our clients do. GA-400 reaches Cumming, Dawsonville and the southwest shore of Lake Lanier in about 20 to 40 minutes. Karen often sets an Alpharetta home beside a Milton estate, a larger house in Cumming or a lake property so clients can decide where they belong.
